External AI connections: tester setup and access
Understand how external connections differ from Yoyo AI and find setup guidance for authorized testers.

Connections are in development
External AI connections are not generally available. This setup guidance is for authorized testers. Connections support AI tools with remote MCP and OAuth, including Claude and Codex. They are separate from the built-in Yoyo AI assistant. Yoyo is operated by Ghostly Software LLC.
Set up a connection as an authorized tester
Add https://www.yoyo.page/api/mcp as a remote HTTP MCP server in your AI tool. Follow the browser sign-in flow and approve the connection in Yoyo. Use the Yoyo account that owns the pages you want to manage. Your website stays hosted on Yoyo; you do not need a local Yoyo server or an API key.
In Codex CLI, use “codex mcp add yoyo --url https://www.yoyo.page/api/mcp”, then “codex mcp login yoyo”. In Claude Code, use “claude mcp add --transport http yoyo https://www.yoyo.page/api/mcp”, then “claude mcp login yoyo”. Claude accounts that support custom connectors can add the same URL in their connector settings. A client may use a temporary localhost callback for sign-in; Yoyo stays hosted.
A Yoyo plugin installation includes the connection and skills for setup, content, design, and analytics. If you installed that plugin, use its bundled connection instead of adding another server. For Claude Code, its login name is “plugin:yoyo:yoyo”.
Try a conversation
Start with “Show my Yoyo pages.” Then try “Update my bio,” “Give my page a modern design and save a draft,” or “Which links received the most clicks in the past seven days?” Name the page when your account has more than one.
Review drafts before publishing
Content and design changes save as drafts. Review them in the Yoyo editor and ask explicitly to publish when you are ready. Unpublishing is a separate request. Changing a public slug changes the page address immediately.
Understand access and plan limits
The connection can read your pages, create drafts, edit content and design, rename pages, publish or unpublish, and read page analytics. Access covers the owning account’s pages, with existing permissions and plan limits. It is not restricted to a single page or read-only tools. Free includes seven days of analytics; longer history and some design features require an eligible paid plan.
The plugin does not take payments or change your subscription. Manage plans and billing in Yoyo. It cannot delete pages, upload images, read your form submissions, send newsletters, or register domains.
Disconnect and protect your information
Manage or revoke a connection in AI connections. Your AI tool receives the page information and tool results it requests. Review its data settings before sharing drafts or analytics. Never paste your password or connection tokens into a conversation.
Get help with a connection
For connection errors, an unexpected page list, or plan questions, contact support@yoyo.page. Include your AI client, the action you tried, and the error message. Leave out passwords, tokens, private page content, and customer data.
If authentication expires, reconnect through your AI tool. An empty page list can mean you connected a different Yoyo account. A plan error means the requested feature is unavailable on that account.
